Fraunhofer FOKUS and eGovCD win the TandemCamp III
The developers of EAGLE-platform from Fraunhofer FOKUS and the startup eGovCD were awarded with a cooperation budget of 10.000€ at the TandemCamp III. EAGLE offers a comprehensive digital platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge specifically for public administrations and municipalities in rural areas.
Focus of the cooperation with eGovCD is the further expansion of the EAGLE prototype and its preparation for use in the Bergstraße district administration in Hesse.
After several test runs, the Bergstraße district administration is convinced that EAGLE is the right tool to support the process of digitization in the administration. It opens up possibilities for employees to obtain and share experiences and best practices in an easy and non-bureaucratic way. The goals of EAGLE are to accelerate the roll out of electronic records management (eAkte) and facilitate the exchange of experiences in-between departments. Gert Lefèvre, who is deputy head of the department for Modern Administration, e - government and IT, says: "Considering the change process we are facing, we believe that EAGLE is a very fitting choice when it comes to saving obtained knowledge and experiences of our employees and providing these to others."
TandemCamp is a format of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) support program TechBridge, which was particularly invented for collaborations between startups and Fraunhofer. Tandems, consisting of Fraunhofer employees and external founders, receive professional and financial support for the first steps of their cooperation. The support comprises an individual tandem-coaching, a planning-workshop designed to optimize the coordination of the collaboration, a Pitch training for applying for a cooperation and finding funding, a project budget for the first steps of the cooperation and a prominent marketing inside Fraunhofer institutions.
